The layer system

plasmind does not hand your task to one big chat. It works like a small company, a multi-agent system with a clear order. Each layer has one job.
Small steps go to small models and big decisions go to big ones. Each job gets the smallest model that can carry it, and a budget of its own.
Fixed routing rules pick the model for each task. When a rule is unsure, the larger model takes the task.

Do I pay for the AI through plasmind?
No. You bring your own AI key and pay your model provider directly. plasmind sells no AI and never charges for tokens.
What is an AI agent in plasmind?
A program that does one job for you. It has a model, a brief and a budget. plasmind sorts agents into layers: overseer, leaders, experts, workers and residents.
How is this different from a copilot or a single chat?
A copilot answers inside one chat. plasmind does multi-agent orchestration. It splits a job into briefs, runs them in parallel and reports back once.
